Not Sure About Visiting?

We would be happy to answer some questions you may have.

Small Groups 101

In worship, most churches sit in rows. We all face one direction and listen to one or two primary leaders teach about God. But there is little interaction with the leader. You may not be able to ask questions. The illustrations may not always fit your situation in life. And while the content may be good, it is not uncommon to walk away from church thinking, “How can I do that?” or “How can I make that work in real life?”

The answer? Small Groups. Small groups are usually made up of 8-10 people in a comfortable, home-style environment. Small groups sit in circles instead of rows. In other words, there is not one primary teacher. There is a facilitator, but all people have input. You can ask questions. You can share personal stories. And when you’re wondering “How can I make that work in real life?” you can hear how the people around you are working through the same issues.

We strongly encourage everyone at Traceway to participate in a Small Group. This is where you make friends. This is where you find encouragement. This is where tough issues meet real life answers.

All small groups currently meet on Sunday mornings at 9:15. We meet at the church and spend about an hour together before the worship service. Coffee and doughnuts (or muffins, or some type of breakfast food) are typically available in the café room…so get plugged in this Sunday and make some new friends!

Traceway small groups exist to point people

to the Bible for answers – because the Bible points to Jesus –

and to each other for encouragement.

In addition to the small groups that meet on Sunday morning, there are several groups of 3-4 people that meet during the week for the purpose of missional discipleship.  These groups meet once a week.  They typically meet before work or in the evenings.  If you are interested in learning more about these mentoring-style relationships, please contact John Richardson at john@tracewaychurch.org.
