Believe it or not, God does not want your money.  You won't hear many TV Evangelists say that, but it is true.  God created everything and owns everything.  He does not need your material possessions.

But what God does need is your trust.  The Bible says that "without faith it is impossible to please God."  So, the whole issue with tithing comes down to this one question - What is really taking care of you and your family - your money or your God?

God asks us to give to Him on a regular basis to be constantly reminded that money cannot take the place of God.  While money will frustrate you, God will free you.  Where money will waste away, God provides for eternity.  Literally.
